Cambridge Living Streets Group
The Cambridge Living Streets group provides a focus and campaigning platform for pedestrians across the city.
Our 2021 survey highlighted the widespread importance of walking as an economic activity, with 29% walking to work and 73% walking to local shops. The Greater Cambridge Partnership consultation confirmed the importance of walking, with 65% of respondents citing it as their ‘most commonly used transport mode’.
We aim to give pedestrians of all ages a voice in policy making, engaging with local government bodies to deliver a walking infrastructure that is safer, greener and more pleasant.
Cambridge Living Streets is a local group of the National Living Streets organisation.
